Day Courses
Day courses include meditations, teachings and discussions and are the perfect way to take a break from your usual routine and concentrate on developing inner peace. Everyone is welcome to attend these courses whatever their level of experience.
Day courses start at 10am and finish at 4pm with breaks for refreshments which are provided. The courses are held at Majura Community Centre, 2 Rosevear Place, Dickson. Booking is required for attendance at these courses. Each course costs $60 which includes a vegetarian lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea.

This day course contains everything you need to establish a meditation practice in your daily life. Throughout the day there will be a combination of practical instructions and meditation practice. Topics covered include:
• Why meditate?
If we understand the benefits of meditation we are more likely to establish a regular meditation practice.
• Preparing for meditation
Where, when, how long for, meditation posture….establishing a foundation that helps to support our meditation practice
• What should be happening ‘inside’?
• Transforming our life through meditation
There are also opportunities throughout the day to ask questions.

In this day course we will learn how to develop a deep inner confidence that is the foundation for a happy life. Through understanding Buddhist wisdom we can develop an unshakable confidence in ourselves and in the direction our live is taking, yet at the same time we can remain respectful and open in our relationships towards others. By finding this balance we are protected from unhelpful states of mind and we can enjoy rich and rewarding relationships with others.
This day course includes teachings and guided meditations as well as opportunities to ask questions.
The cost for the day is $60. Morning and afternoon tea as well as a vegetarian lunch are provided.
